I guess it's in the hands of the talking heads from here.
However, it sounds like he was upstaged (by even his running mate).

5. That means the attack ads on Obama are going to beyond vicious
They are going to have to employ a scorced earth policy to try and win this. There are secrets from the Bush years to keep hidden!

7. They elected Reagan.
Not only do they not have a problem with old, they don't have a problem with senile.

10. A snoozefest of a speech could maybe work
if it was a Gore-style lecture where it had some specifics and a call to action.

But this was just your basic snoozefest with nothing worth remembering, other than maybe 15 seconds of his description of captivity. That's irrelevant to this election, but at least it was interesting.

12. Some of what he said was moving and compelling....

...in a country that has no shortage of moving and compelling personal stories.

He may have really wanted to aim for the things he said he'd do tonight, but not saddled with every corporate whore and Mrs. Arctic Armageddon waiting to push him down the stairs.

13. On MSNBC they said that the only applauds
came when he mentioned Palin. That the ticket is now Palin-McCain, instead of McCain-Palin.
