How many of the assholes at the RNC who got their rocks off laughing at the phrase "community organizer", zinger ever lifted a single finger to do anything for those less fortunate? (with the exception of Cindy McCain...who is still an asshole, just for laughing.)
How many of them volunteered to take children from the county foster home to the dentist, or doctor, or to be fitted for new shoes?
How many of them visited the county nursing home, and held hands with elderly people they didn't even know, listened to them cry because their family couldn't be bothered, and patted them on the shoulder, telling them everything would be ok?
How many of them volunteered at a local school to tutor a child who moved so often, he couldn't remember his current address?
How many of them, after watching an elderly person tell the pharmacist that he could not afford more than 15 days that month on his prescriptions, tell that pharmacist to put the whole month supply on your tab anonymously?
How many of them took stray animals to the vet and had them spayed/neutered and vaccinated to help control the pet population?
How many of them arranged for Santa to visit the local dialysis center, and deliver gifts to all the patients?
I am by no means a "community organizer", I doubt if I could even keep up with the job. But I am a "community doer", and I resent these idiots snickering at Barack Obama's accomplishments.
They wouldn't know community service if it bit them in their big bad Repub asses. Keep it up assholes.
As far as I am concerned, they can all rot in hell.
"ST. PAUL - The biggest punch line so far at this Republican convention in St. Paul: “community organizer.”
Why did these two words suddenly become the zinger of the night at the convention?
The credit or blame for launching the “community organizer” mock-fest goes to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani who told the convention Wednesday night, “You have a resume from a gifted man with an Ivy League education. He worked as a — community organizer.”
He paused and then said, “What?” as if to express befuddlement at that job title.
Giuliani had eloquent body language — a dismissive half-shrug — as he said the words, “community organizer.”
Immediately the delegates on the convention floor burst into laughter and guffaws..."
