Calling all NH DU'ers; I need to fight the Sununu smears against Shaheen.

I make phone calls for Jeanne Shaheen and last night, two people asked me to explain why Jeanne Shaheen "doubled the state's budget during her last year as governor". They've been watching a smear ad on television, paid for by the Republican National Senatorial Committee. Since I don't really have the time to do any extensive research on the subject, can somebody clue me in on exactly what that ad is referring to? I know that she advocated for a sales tax to fund education, but that never went through. What gives, NH DU'ers?
