if McCain were really a Maverick he would have picked lieberman
heard that mccain really really wanted lieberman as VP, but was talked out of it because of the probable 'revolt' by the religious right

so this maverick, this "the hell with washington insiders", the man that is running on "country first" - not politics bows to poltical considerations and decides at the last minute to be the happy panderer and goes with palin...

mmmmmmmmmmmmm...what's wrong with this picture?

2. It was the right move for him politically. There would of been a floor fight
Prime time, Chicago '68 style if he picked Holy Joe.

5. then there's a big problem there with his "maverick" hat
he went with what is politically expedient instead of going his own independent way....

there seems to still be some conflict between sen. mccain and candidate mccain...

if he yells into a mirror, does it yell back?

3. Well, he may still have a chance to pick Holy Joe
We'll see if the Palin Pick follows the Harriet Miers route or the Karen Hughes route for wholly inappropriate hirings.

8. He did...
only problem is, McCain does not control his own campaign.
He's not in command. He was told in no uncertain terms who
his running mate would be by the Theocons. This maverick
is ready for the glue factory.
