Does it appear that palin was NOT mccain's real choice?
And that she was forced upon him by whoever his real masters are?

And why? Is this some cheap stunt that's only half finished?

1. The story from a campaign insider
Is that McSame wanted Joementum first, Ridge second... and when he was told by Dobson that those two were unacceptable, he said "F*ck it, let's do Palin then" (who was near the top of Dobson's list). All very last minute. Rumor is that if he'd picked Joementum, Dobson was prepared to mount an attempt to NOT ratify the pick on the convention floor.

That's the rumors. No reputable sources for this.

And, yeah, it's possible that there was a phone call to Rove and Rove told McSame to go ahead with the Palin pick, wait for the self destruct, and then go pick who he really wants, all the while blaming the Epic Falin on Obama and the democrats.

And oh, btw, last Friday after the pick was announced, rumor is that McSame got $4M in donations... so he might just wait long enough to dump her to make sure they mine that vein full of dumb evangelicals.

2. He really didn't care.
He just wants to win. So, picking a VP was just another effort to pick up votes. Rove and Rush Limpballs picked Palin because McInsane let them.

McCain approved of the choice. You can tell the way he is leering at Palin's butt while fiddling with his wedding ring. Even Cindy notices it and looks away in disgust. McCain approves of Rove's and Rush's VP pick because he thinks she is hot.

I say it again - McCain is very creepy. Would you let him near your daughters? The man is a creep.

Any woman who votes for him has to have the worst creep radar in the world.

5. But, but, John had to do something to keep that loyal GOP base of rabid 'Christian' loonies! So, he
was forced to give up the love-of-his-life (second only to Bush), Joe, as is VP choice.

6. i think in this case obama was probably his real master
in that he picked someone to balance biden. obama has a balanced new change candidate and experienced candidate and mccain wanted to balance that.

plus he bought into the hype that HRC voters are not voting for obama

8. Maybe picked by somebody who really hates McCain,
and wants to see him crash and burn? I know; not likely, 'cause it would be a setback for Teh Partee. But. It's just such a mind-boggling pick I can't figure it out.
