We know that John McCain comes from a family of Admirals, however he never earned that rank himself.
We know that Sarah Palin was a mayor of a hamlet and is the governor of a state with lots of land, but few voters.
But, where do they stand on policy issues? Have either been interviewed satisfactorily? Or have they answered questions by friendly partisans, who would allow them to not have to answer questions that would define them.
So, again, I ask, who are these people? Do we really know anything about them? I mean beyond the cliches and slogans. What substance is there? Who are they?
I know McCain's running mate never got a background check from the FBI and avoided an interview the day after her selection was announced.
Are the GOP voters going to just accept them because their party officials tell them that's their choice?
I know they have fringe beliefs, but who are they?
Who are John McCain and Sarah Palin?
(EDITED TO ADD)
We hear the claims that they're both "mavericks" but there is nothing to back any of this up except their own claims that that is what they are.
