Meet Sarah Palin, Vice Presidential candidate.

"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."

Religion, however, was not strictly a thread in Palin's foreign policy. It was part of her energy proposals as well. Just prior to discussing Iraq, Alaska's governor asked the audience to pray for another matter -- a $30 billion national gas pipeline project that she wanted built in the state. "I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that," she said.

On edit: I missed the part in the Bible where Jesus and God get together and push for that corporate energy policy....

1. Fanatics are all the same, very dangerous to freedom of anything
The silliest part of this whole republican side show is that most of them don't even realize what a show they're putting on.

I have no problem with anyone practicing their fanaticism, just don't try to "wipe it on me"

2. ???
You didn't see that section in the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus said "Blessed are those who buy stock in Standard Oil, for they shall inherit the presidency". Could have sworn it was in there. I think it was the the "Rovians" edition of the good book. :sarcasm:
