Oil price up $2 in special early trading ahead of Gustav

In response and ahead of Hurricane Gustav, the New York Mercantile Exchange has opened http://www.cattlenetwork.com/Content.asp?ContentID=249014">special early trading. Trading began at 2:30 EDT today for all Globex energy futures market in anticipation of the storm.

"We wanted to provide our customers with the opportunity to respond to the storm's potential impact to energy markets as quickly as possible," CME's chief operating officer Bryan Durkin said in a statement.
