Hey I have heard that RNC is having trouble filling the convention
with people that Minnesota hasn't got any people to fill it...and that they can't even pay them to attend

that whoever chose this spot they now regret it

they are looking for an excuse to cancel the location and using Gustav as the reason

anybody else hear that one

1. It's right up the street...
from where the I-35 Bridge collapsed.

A symbol of how Repukes spend like crazy on everything except necessities.

4. I thought the very same thing yesterday
Caught a minute of Fux Snooze while paying for fuel and the chattering ninny was explaining how one could get a floor seat, right down in front of the podium.

I thought, WTF? They don't have enough bodies to fill the seats?

6. Bingo thats what I had heard too
Its not like the Democratic one

Its pretty obvious that many Repubs may not show up this year for election

and Bush and Cheney don't want to be booed while they speak

Gustav is their cover

One thing I've noticed is that in all the pictures/videos of McCain and crowds, the camera never pans out. I'm thinking they are going out, collecting 15-20 0f the homeless, giving them a set of duds and some food in exchange for showing up.

10. yeah, they probably giove them a cash bonus for showing up
and keeping their mouths closed. I figure it's so others can't see that they don't have any teeth.

7. Don't worry, they'll fill it.
They're busing people in from all over the country.

If that doesn't work, they'll be out on the streets promising the local hobos a bottle of Jack each if they come.

11. No but,
I read yesterday that they were going to change the way cameras covered the convention. Instead of using long shots, they were going to bring the cameras on to the floor to give a "more intimate" view of the proceedings. Sounds like a B-movie crowd scene to me.

12. I believe that because they're sure using Gustav
as the big excuse for an anticipated flop of massive proportions. Now the coastal politicians are staying away and so are delegates from those states.

22. CSPAN1 is showing live shots.
I hope this is right because if there five miles of footage of an empty hall, it will be harder to pretend this race is close, right?

14. Any military bases nearby?

Military personnel will be ordered to attend. That's
what BushCo does. They're told to applaud on command.

15. Perhaps a rock concert might draw more people
And Gustav could actually work to their advantage.....think images of McCain and Palin in NO. Obama and Biden better get down there quick to upstage them.

24. Yet they keep calling us a "swing state"
When is the last time MN gave it's electoral votes to a Republican? Hmmmm?

I don't know anyone who's excited about the R convention being here. Sure, we're happy for the merchants who are going to make some bucks off of it, but to everyone else it's just a big inconvenience.
