Some observations on George Snuffalopogus' interview today with Cindy McCain:

1. When Snuffalopogus asked Cindy about VP nominee Sarah Palin's lack of foreign policy experience, Cindy played the old standby the Republicans have been using from the start: Alaska is the closest state to Russia. So, does that mean the Alaskan state budget includes some type of military defense to protect the state from any possible invasions or whatever from Russia? Has Sarah Palin even visited Russia? Such a thing is not uncommon. Hell, there are county and other local government officials who visit foreign countries for economic development purposes. But has Sarah Palin ever visited Russia? Or any foreign country? (other than Canada since you have to cross it to get to the contiguous 48 states from Alaska).

2. Cindy never referred to Crash by his name. She always referred to him as "my husband." She never called him John. Sounds kind of possessive to me.

3. When Snuffalopogus discussed the Democrats mocking the McCains for owning seven homes, Cindy went into this story about how HER PARENTS sacrificed to build their wealth to where they could afford such things. Notice that she didn't attribute the seven homes to anything that Crash may have contributed to their 'family.' It was all about her parents. Her family.

4. I've also noticed that Cindy has been seen with her hair down lately, instead of having it in a bun, which I thought made her resemble a caricature of Cruella on '101 Dalmations.' She had her hair down with the straight look again when being interviewed with Snuffalopogus.
