This Pick by McCain, Confirms to Most Americans that he is Slime...
even the timing shows desperation... it's so shallow and transparent, that my nieces noticed it... they are tweens!

Palin is unethical... McCain has been accused of being unethical.... McCain already has dirt on him, and now he choses someone who is being investigated for unethical behavior...?!

On top of it all... if by chance, either President had to leave office, who would you rather want to take their place. Someone like Biden or someone like Palin.....!?

McCain is toast... I don't think even the stooges in the media can save him....

This pick is "no Hillary Clinton"!

Sarah reminds me a bit of Monica Goodling and the republican strategy of selecting the least experienced to run government. Republicans hate government and the American People.

8. Close enough to steal?
This is the first day in months that I've thought the GOP may not be able to rig this election. McCain's just assured that he's going to be massively in the hole on votes.

By the way-- next time, don't begin your responses with easy, single-word titles. It's a Freeperism.

9. McCain's Introduction
Did anyone notice that McCain said "she puts power of principles"? Talking heads talked about the written scriptof Obama's speech, not the same w/McCain.

7. I bet the Biden VP pick and the convention put McCain into a tailspin.
He was desperate to do something, so he picked Palin on impulse. Her staff didn't even know and she wasn't vetted. A man who makes important decisions on impulse cannot be president.

13. I think they've bought into their own PUMA propaganda.
They seem to be suggesting this pick will attract a lot of angry Hillary Clinton supporters-- but there just aren't very many of those. They're the tiny, vocal minority that the corporate media loved to promote because it made the Democrats look weak and divided.

I'd love to think that the GOP fell for their own garbage.

20. Bold = Desparate
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 06:42 PM by KharmaTrain
Let's play a game...the corporate media just loves to play games...so let's help them.

Anytime you hear them claim this was a bold pick, just replace that with the true word here...desparate. This is not "bold" judgement, but a desparate one...and a very cynical one. Just because, as Debbie Wasserman-Shultz framed it today..."she has the same body parts", this is not an attempt to "shatter the glass ceiling" but to replace it with plexiglass.

Remember, this is the party that views women as second-class in every way possible. Palin wasn't picked because of who she is, but what she is...or what she isn't (a nigblack). She doesn't advance the march for equal pay and rights for women, it just puts a "pretty face" to the long-held view of a woman being second-fiddle. Even her life story isn't one of accomplishment but of being subserviant...to her oily hubby (barefoot and preggers) and then to the special interests who pull the real strings here...the large corporations and the fundies. She looks like a fresh face since all the old ones are tainted by corruption...she just hasn't had a chance to catch up with the boys.

This pick should be considered an insult to women...especially the many who put their faith in Hillary...a true lifelong champion for rights for ALL Americans. This is just trying to grab at the low-hanging fruit (PUMAs...if they really exist) and to get the corporate media tongues back on their talking points and away from the substansive issues that Senator Obama and the entire Democratic party put front and center in front of 38 million viewers last night. When you can't beat them on substance, dazzle 'em with bullshit. And if you can dress that bullshit up in a pretty face, so much the better.
