One FRAGILE Heartbeat Away From the Presidency
Man, I hope Obama drives this home: the most incredibly underqualified VP candidate, running alongside the oldest non-incumbent ever for President.

There's a potential for disaster here of historic proportions.

2. She's Harriet Myers, only more ideologically palatable to fundamentalist Christians...
...and more visually palatable to philandering septuagenerians.

3. Exactly. McCains biggest criticism of Obama was inexperience, so what does he do?
Pick someone less qualified (on an epic level) for VP and for what reason? Political expediency. John McCain doesn't give a rat's ass about national security or the good of the nation.

12. Imagine How Clueless She Would Be
If she inherited the presidency.

It's utterly incomprehensible.

4. Hmm. With MCain out of the way, fundies would have a complete ideologue
to do their bidding.

9. No way would the corporate masters let the Republicans actually enact the fundie insanity.
No way. They use the fundies mercilessly, and the fundies don't even know it. Let them try to turn back Roe v Wade, they would have the fight of their life. If they really felt that way, they had nearly eight years to propose the legislation and a favorable Supreme Court. They didn't bother.

Their base isn't all stupid though- they've learned to work in the cracks. In Mississippi, there's only one abortion clinic in the entire state. For many women, Roe v Wade is pragmatically speaking, already overturned.

5. "potential for disaster here of historic proportions"
My position has always been that electing McCain would create the potential for a disaster of historic proportions. The guy is losing what marbles he had. Giving him the nuclear football is about as insane as it gets.

But putting Palin a McCain-heartbeat away is like adding redundancy of disaster potential. In-friggin-credible.

:tinfoilhat: Is this all just a test by the shadowy "masters" of our government, to see how many people will actually vote for a ticket this scary?

8. Her experience is over how many people
Palin is a two year governor of a state with such a small population that comparing the 600,000+ in the entire state of Alaska to San Jose California with a population of almost 1 million is laughable. She also was a mayor of a town with a population of 6,000+. How in the world does that give her the experience they are touting today to be President.

They keep saying Obama has no experience. Illinois Senate, U.S. Senate...

This is a Rove tactic they know John McCain could fall ill because of his age and they want someone in the WH who they can mold and tell what to do.
