The White House dismissed the accusations as "patently false".
There were Americans in the conflict zone "doing as they were ordered, and the only one who can give such orders is their leader," he said.

The powerful former Kremlin leader said he suspected that "someone in the US specially created this conflict to worsen the situation and create an advantage in the competitive struggle for one of the candidates for the post of president of the United States."

The White House dismissed the accusations as "patently false".

Has anyone been tracking Condi, Carl, and Dick lately

Seems to me they all have been spending time in the region just prior to the erruption of hostilities.

Rove was in Crimea, Ukraine, for the fifth annual Yalta European Strategy summit. Also in attendance: former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.

2. Well, there's this.
We have suspicion and the * administration's denial.

Then we have Putin's complete lack of evidence, even alluded to evidence, merely saying that some anonymous person in his military said Americans were there.

We have Putin's link of non-implicatures based on that anonymous (non?) information. One of the non-implicatures betrays Putin's mindset in a quite startling way, and shows his solid lack of awareness of American attitudes.

It's the intellectual equivalent of a dust bunny put to paper.
