I hardly ever watch or keep up with any of the Olympics, but caught the gymnastics competitions two or three times this year and took to rooting for Shawn Johnson early on. I loved the way she'd have that huge smile just after completing some incredibly hard routine, and it was great to see her flash the peace sign and wear those earrings. No surprise that she's a Democrat, and that is awesome that she will be leading the pledge at our convention.

She trains less that the others, four hours not seven a day. She goes to proper public school and she seems to be very nice.
