Hello Veterans, FYI
USAA has opened its membership requirements a tad to include:

- Military retirees who served honorably regardless of when they served.
- Military personnel who were discharged after 1 January 1996.

I've done business with them for quite some time and have been happy with their service. My current credit card annual rate is 6.75%. They provide most banking services.

4. It gives me
a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that I do business with them. I spread my money around to other companies but USAA has always been on the top of the list. Navy Federal Credit Union is a close second.

6. What's the scoop on Navy Federal Credit Union?
I've never done business with them, but it's never too late to start.

8. They are very similar
in service to USAA. I don't do too much business with them but they are very user friendly. My Dad told me to always be a member of a credit union and we are members of two, the other being Keesler Air Force Base Credit Union, which is headquartered in Biloxi. I always told my young Sailors to do themselves a favor and join NFCU asap.

3. I'm pretty skeptical
of any "corporations" but I've yet to find fault with the service provided by USAA. And they really, really make you feel that they appreciate your business.

7. Used USAA since
1972. Best in the business in my opinion.

10. Hey Neighbor
they are a great company to do business with. Pending any radical course change from Gustav we are pulling chocks and heading for the inlaws in Kansas Saturday Morning.

11. 1. My daughter & family have USAA too. 2. Gustav:
Are you right on the coast, or a few miles inland?
We're keeping an eye on it.
My (self proclaimed) redneck buddy has a pretty nice deer camp near Mungumry. Industrial steel building on reinforced concrete slab.
All the comforts of home, including dish TV.
We may all head there if it looks threatening.
Party time!
Good luck, friend.

13. I'm about 15 miles from the coast.
Funny, in 2 weeks we're leaving for our daughter's in MA for a month.
A little too late for evacuation.
Got some other stuff going on between now and then.
Catch up with you later.
