Jon Stewart lectures reporters:
"In a breakfast with reporters, Stewart directed most of his ire at the 24-hour cable news networks, which he called "gerbil wheels," and said the media at-large had "abdicated" to what he called the "slow-witted beast."

He said the never-ending television news cycle creates a "false sense of urgency" and forces reporters to "follow the veins that have been mined," instead of pursuing serious and in-depth reporting."

1. A New Term Is Born..."Gerbil Wheel"
I love it...Bravo Jon.

:applause:

This afternoon Barnacled Mike Plagarist admitted the obvious...the convention isn't a news story...the nominees were known and they know this even is scripted to the millisecond, but they needed to stir shit to create a sizzle...to keep eyes watching...just like a moronic reality show.

Thank goodness for the "internets"...the place where real news now lives.

6. It was back when I saw him take the Crossfire folks to task,
that I realized that while his medium is comedy, his passion is politics. There is a reason The Daily Show is so damn good.
