No Woman Should Consider Voting for John McCain
Edited on Sun Aug-24-08 07:04 PM by louis c
First off, what really infuriates me in the "real world" is how so many of my contemporaries so readily vote against there own self-interest. Generally speaking, my own union brothers (ie; white, male blue collar workers).

Now we have a new group they wish to use to torpedo our own. White women. All we have to do to change this country is stick together, and the Damn repukes always find a wedge. This time, they're using one of our own heroes against us, Hillary. Let me just post some facts and ask you how any woman could ever consider voting for John McCain?

Why are our own so slow to understand that this is part of the age old adage of divide and conquer. How is it that our contemporaries can fall for the same old shit every four years. I'm not talking about we here at DU, because, let's face, we're wonks, and it's hard to get a blooper pitch by us. But most of our friends don't dig as deep. They form opinions based on "general impressions" and they can not or will not allow us to spend the time to educate them with facts that will convince them. However, I'm going to give it a try again (every four years since 1972) and see if I can't convince more people this time than I make enemies. After all, it's difficult to tell people what they refuse to hear of believe.

6. Fox news are playing women as they played men in 2004
In 2004, the wedge issue was swift boat. Now Hillary, who they detest, is being played up by the right as a victim.

She has to call them on it.

8. The Corporate Media Needs A Storyline
They just can't get away from the "Democrats are divided" shit...they're so used to peddling this shit they can't see the forest through the trees...and don't want to. In their bubbleworld of "conventional wisdom" they "report" nothing but gossip and rumor as it's easier to peddle and gets a bigger reaction. We get the usual suspects doing their usual circle jerk and then try to gloss it over with a fancy slogan and whiz bang visuals.

The biggest storyline for these asshats is "The Clenis". For many it's what got them their nice cushy gig and just can't resist interjecting the "world according to Clinton" into anything and everything involving this election. They think it's still 1996 or 2000. Obama pissed in their cornflakes as they were dying for Hillary to be the candidate...even if it was veep, just so they could do what comes naturally to them...fly towards Bill's penis.

Yes, any woman who supports Gramps and his oppressive record on women's issues should be taken to a battered woman's shelter and see immediate treatment. To those who think by "helping" Gramps it opens the way for Hillary in 2012, they're stupider than stupid. But the corporate media will continue to obsess as they're getting frozen out by the Obama campaign who strung 'em along last week with the veep pick and how dare him dictate how his campaign goes.
