1. That's great. It looks like one that would be found in Asheville.
What are you doing in these parts?

7. Why I live here. Happily. Except for my Senators of course (Dole and Burr) but
we're working on it....

25. I have to drive ten hours to get to the mountains near your home
I love hiking and backpacking in western NC. Shining Rock Wilderness is one of my favorite places, but I also love the waterfalls further south -- the Horespasture River is awesome.

26. "Cognito Ergo Democrat"
Covers all the bases. Those who remember high school Latin will chuckle; boosh* supporters will think it's French and has something to do with throwing Eggos at Democrats.

17. I'd use tighter tracking (letter spacing).
Edited on Sat Aug-23-08 06:56 PM by lwfern
The spacing between the letters destroys the shape of the word, which is primarily how we read - word shapes, more than individual letters.

R e a d i n g ... i n d i v i d u a l ... l e t t e r s .., hurts legibility and slows down reading, which is the opposite of what we want on a bumper sticker.

I would also use a font that's less bold. I wouldn't set it up so we have black white black white black white stripes of equal weight between the letters - that sets up a little vibration and also interferes with legibility.

19. Thanks for the detailed info. I dashed it out, after
getting a call about the sticker and was told it was white on black, and I actually thought it reads just fine.
Though I have made a fine living doing bumper stickers for close to 30 years, there is always more to learn.

14. Well, that's a bit elitist, ROFL ....what I find so perfect is the
word "informed" - because whenever I get into a discussion it is the consistent lack of information that presents the most problems for a good talk. You have to reach back and "inform" them before you can make a point, and they are not willing to hear.
After all, if they wanted information, and if they are literate and breathing, it IS available.

Wow.. what a breath of fresh air. I have been fighting this for the last 8 years. Not only do you have to educate them on what is Fasicsm... you have to spoon feed it to them. Thank you Mr. Smith.. we do appeciate the opinion of you and your six brothers Wesson.

15. I like "informed" better.
You don't necessarily have to be the smartest person around to be committed to being truly "informed."
