3. They have reason to be frantic.
Biden is a great VP candidate. The rethugs have no one to compare. At least no one who would actually run with McSame.

19. that's pretty funny...
although there are some that I think are very disappointed that he didn't pick someone else..although I don't know who it is they wanted. Any of those that were floated were not perfect.

10. I think he was a great choice-- and not because he compensates for Obama's perceived weaknesses

in terms of experience and foreign policy. That's a Republican frame, IMHO-- or at the very least, a response to a Republican frame.

I think Biden was an excellent choice because he *trumps McCain* on experience and foreign policy.

And here's another thing; if McCain picks Romney as his running mate (as I suspect he will), you're going to have two big money con-men on the same ticket. One that looks and acts like a snake, the other who looks and acts like a gameshow host. I really think they're going to look horrible in comparison to Obama and Biden.

Edited on Sat Aug-23-08 12:51 PM by Odin2005
The guy takes the train from his home in Delaware to DC every morning and drives an old pick-up! Thet won't be able to use the "Elitist Librul" BS.

During debate on the binding Iraq-withdrawal bill that would require George W. Bush to withdraw all U.S. troops from Iraq within one year, Joe Biden rips Republicans for standing by Bush's horrible course.

"Mr. President, you have not only put us in harm's way, you have harmed us. You have no policy Mr. President."

..... Mr. President, this is ridiculous. There is no plan. .... Mr. President, you are leading us off a cliff. STOP!"

I think Biden will appeal to a wide variety of folks once they get to know him. He can also be funnier than shit, which doesn't hurt.

23. I hope McCain picks the pathological sycophant Lieberman.
If it isn't Droopy dog, it will still be pretty sweet to watch the repubs/McCain struggle to keep Romney's suit from crumpling to the stage day after day.
