Fundies: Hallmark Out to Ruin Marriage in Amurka! They will be smitten!
Quelle surprise! The AFA is organizing a boycott.

Hallmark pushes same-sex marriage

Ask them to stop promoting a lifestyle that is not only unhealthy, but is also illegal in 48 states.
Hallmark Greeting Cards has announced it will begin selling same-sex wedding cards, even though same-sex marriage is legal in only two states. The purpose, they say, is to satisfy consumer demand. It appears that their purpose is also to push same-sex marriage. Last year Hallmark began offering "coming out" cards - as in "coming out of the closet" -- a euphemism for announcing homosexuality.

We've all given or received Hallmark Cards – remember their slogan – "when you care enough to send the very best." But promoting same-sex marriage for profit is not the very best for families or our nation.

Hallmark is a private company obviously driven by greed. Let them know you do not appreciate Hallmark promoting a lifestyle which is illegal in 48 states. American Greeting Cards, Hallmark's competitor, does not offer same-sex marriage cards.

TAKE ACTION

Send an e-mail to Hallmark. Ask them to stop promoting a lifestyle that is not only unhealthy, but is also illegal in 48 states.

Forward this to your friends and family.

1. I suggest religious zealots cite Hallmark cards
in their divorce proceedings. Obviously christians could not possibly be responsible for the termination of their own marriages.

4. Yes its just so UnAmerican and Non-Christian to wish someone well
with a greeting card. The ruination of the world is in the hands of greeting card buyers.

8. Plus I'll bet that The Outraged have never sent a greeting card in their lives.
They wouldn't know how to begin boycotting a Hallmark store because they've never been in one in their lives.

10. My wife
is part of their club (or whatever it is.) By ten get one free or something like that. I think she singlehandedly keeps them in business and if she gets wind of the OP she'll go out and buy more cards.

They scrawl greetings on rocks and throw them at one another.

9. Hallmark should just tell them that they didn't think there was any money in a
"Congratulations on being Raptured" line, so they went with the one celebrating simple human love.

Then again, a "Jesus Loves Me, but not YOU!" series could be a gold mine.

11. I figured Fundies couldn't read, since they've never read the Bible
or they wouldn't be so gullibly fleeced by the Religion Industry

15. Quelle surprise! At least three other states recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere
NY, RI and NM.

And get this, flyover-bashers: A recent court decision in Iowa has left the legal status of same-sex marriage in the Hawkeye State ambiguous.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Status_of_same-sex_marriage#United_States

So along with CA and MA, that's six states where that "lifestyle" isn't "illegal". Only 44 to go...
