The right wing isn't some monolithic force, it isn't some hierarchal structure. It is like a swarm of bees, led by nobody, rather led to something, and that would be enacting their right wing agenda, and for the more extreme ones, their led by their desire to see liberalism absolutely destroyed.
However, the right wing does try to unify behind symbols and memes, which it does pretty well to a certain degree.
The symbols are pretty easy to spot, just listen to an acolyte of the new right for a couple minutes, if they don't talk about the "liberal media" or Democrats wanting to "cut and run," then you know they aren't members of the New Right.
It may be those symbols, though, which could lead to it's downfall.
We need to do the following, and other things as well:
Debunk 'studies' and "think tanks' that push right wing issues, Accuracy in Media and the American Enterprise Institute are some of these think tanks.
Fight back against the slogans, Obama recently congratulated the Bush Administration for starting to come around on timelines for Iraq, who's cut and runners now?
Never let something go unanswered, it is not enough to simply delete that right wing chain letter you get, you MUST respond to it.
Humor, this is the best tool we have. Nothing diffuses a liberal-phobic right wing fear monger like humor.
And plenty of other things well.
The far right is at war against us, but we do not need to strike at them, we should strike at their slogans.
