Financial tycoon Warren Buffett suggests 'populist' John Edwards return the small donations he took.

Lol! Too funny. (last paragraph)

In other comments, Buffett said former presidential candidate John Edwards should consider returning small donations because he "misled" people. Edwards has admitted having an extramarital affair that he had earlier denied.

4. I requested mine back when he dropped out of the race....
...after promising to stay in till the convention. I didn't appreciate the lie, but never got a response to my request for a refund.

5. I think the timing of his dropping out is directly related to the affair coming out fully

6. But then he'd have to postpone the gymnasium he's adding onto the east wing.

That hardly seems reasonable.

8. He should. He's worse than a television evangelist and should return the money.
How friggin' cynical and self-serving was it to take those small donations from people struggling while he was 'hiring' his sex partner? Paying for sex is prostitution. Only this is one of the ways rich people do it.

He really makes me sick and I'm furious with how he stuck this on our party right before the convention.

He is simply a creep.

9. Saying he misled
people is a bit strong. So he had an affair in his personal life. People are imperfect, it's a terrible thing, but I still don't believe he misled folks on his basic policies. People are not one thing, they don't amount to one event during tough times in their life. He shouldn't be summed up in this way either.

This is old news anyway, and the only reason the media keep pursuing him is his populism. There is nothing the mainstream hates more than a populist, which as you supporters know, is the complete truth about the corporate media.

10. Tell that to the hedge fund he worked at and profited from.
I understand your disappointment, but he's not the one who should be carrying a torch for
"populism". Kucinich is the only one I've seen who could actually do that.

12. He defrauded the working class by having an affair? Maybe
defrauded his wife... And I would venture that there are very few high-powered politicians who've never had affairs. Jeez, DU is starting to sound like FR on this subject.

13. He was paying her
six figures out of donations, supposedly in exchange for amateurish YouTube videos. He knew that having an affair while running for office, if exposed, would end his chances. He was running a prolonged vanity campaign, not a campaign to bring change to the White House.
