Poll question: POTUS Debate Question.
Three presidential debates have been scheduled between Barack Obama and his opponentSwampPolitics.com.

During which of these debates will Admiral McCombover blow his top?

DEBATES:
All four debates will begin at 9pm ET, and last for 90 minutes. Both campaigns also agreed to accept the CPD's participation rules for third-party candidate participation.

#1: September 26, debate on "Foreign Policy & National Security", where the candidates are standing behind a podium, moderated by Jim Lehrer at the University of Mississippi.

Answer Format: The debate will be broken into nine, 9-minute segments. The moderator will introduce a topic and allow each candidate 2 minutes to comment. After these initial answers, the moderator will facilitate an open discussion of the topic for the remaining 5 minutes, ensuring that both candidates receive an equal amount of time to comment

#2: October 7, "town hall" style debate moderated by Tom Brokaw at Belmont University.

Format: The moderator will call on members of the audience (and draw questions from the internet). Each candidate will have 2 minutes to respond to each question. Following those initial answers, the moderator will invite the candidates to respond to the previous answers, for a total of 1 minute, ensuring that both candidates receive an equal amount of time to comment. In the spirit of the Town Hall, all questions will come from the audience (or internet), and not the moderator.

#3: October 15, debate on "Domestic and Economic policy" where the candidates are seated at a table, moderated by Bob Schieffer at Hofstra University.

Answer Format: Same as First Presidential Debate
Closing Statements: At the end of this debate (only) each candidate shall have the opportunity for a 90 second closing statement.

EXTRA CREDIT: How will the network covering the debate handle it and how will he handle it?

1. Third - when he's in all-out panic mode because he flubbed the first two.
Desperation does not make for steady nerves.

2. In debate #2, if the fix isn't in...
there is always the delicious possibility of an audience member challenging him on something such as
the GI bill, his houses, etc. If they phrase it just right, there will be liftoff.

The network will either bow to corporate sponsors and cut to a commercial or go for the ratings and
keep the cameras rolling. It's a 50/50 proposition to me.

He will say .... HE IS

(say it with me - LOUD and PROUD)....

A POW!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:

4. This one is most likely (although I said all 3) because there is a chance ...
...of something unexpected!

3. McCain is not going to lose the election due to blowing his top or committing some obvious gaffe.
If Obama wants to win, he's going to have to win most of the days leading up to the election. He's going to have to define himself and McCain in such a way that people want to vote for him. Right now, he's not doing that.

6. McCain can no more control himself than I can control Hurricane Fay.
He can manage up to a point and then all bets are off. He has a temper and he knows how to use it.

This won't be Saddleback I hope. If he gets pushed the wrong way, it will be Vesuvius.

You're right, though, that Obama better not count on such an occurrence.
