1. Of course those arguments are pointless. THey are made by those with a vested

interest in either oil, coal or nuclear energy, and based on faulty "studies" or on just plain lies.

Everyone loves nuclear until the residents surrounding a possible new nuclear facility find out what is going to happen to their property values and they find out they are going to need to sign a release for the school to give their little kiddies Potassium iodide in the event of an accident.

Then they don't like the idea so much any more. We went through this 30 years ago. Thom must have a good memory.

have or know about. It would make it much easier to consider your thread and contemplate a response if a link is provided rather than having your thread readers scrambling to locate it themselves.

saying that nukes are the "only" way to get the electricity we need? Well, he debunked it all. I loves me some Thom. He listed the countries who are successfully using alternative energies making it unnecessary for any new nuke plants to be built.
