Attention Faux "News": John Sidney McCain was not a fighter pilot.
I have heard him described as a fighter pilot twice on Faux "News" (it is sometimes on in the breakroom at work, until I march in there and say, "Hey, who's watching the goddam propaganda channel?" and change it :P ).

He was never in a dogfight, and he is not trained on any current or former fighter aircraft.

He was trained and flew in attack aircraft (planes that attack ground targets ). Not as romantic as a fighter pilot, but a necessary component in military matters.

Another interesting tidbit: the first plane he was assigned was the Douglas A-1 Skyraider, which is propeller-driven!

Anyway, I'm sure that you will correct this mistake in the future.

:sarcasm:

1. Yeah, he was a bomber, and a poor one at that!
Bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran. That's exactly how he thinks.

4. I think, using Fox News terminology...
McCain would have been a "homicide bomber."

5. Being a ground attack pilot in Nam was probably more dangerous than being a fighter pilot.
Less "glamorous" but more gutsy.

For historical purposes it should be noted that USN Skyraiders shot down two Russian MiG 17's over N. Vietnam, so they are capable of "dogfighting".

8. But did he get to wear a flight suit
that made his manly parts look manlier? That's all Republicans really care about.
