Thank You, Mr. President: Helen Thomas at the White House

For those of you with HBO, check this one out if you haven't already. A fine overview of Helen's WH career. Directed by Rory Kennedy, by the way. When it comes out on DVD, it's worth a peek.

The utter vacuousness of Reagan and sociopathic smirking arrogance of Bushit Jr. come through loudly and clearly. Just when you thought you couldn't revile them more, this will stir you up.

Nixon is still malevolent, but kind of tragicomic in light of the past 8 years. LBJ is just outright tragic. It still hurts to see what opportunities he wasted because of Vietnam. Plus, the beagle incident - where he lifted his beagle by the ears - hints at a very dark place we always knew he had in him. Clinton's southern charm and natural approachability are on full display too.

Don't want to post spoilers, but I do want to recommend this feature on a legendary journalist of the Old School. :thumbsup:
