1. Other than being pulled aside at the airport, no.

ahead of the flight by phone since the list has been turned over to other official sources?

3. No, there's not.

No way to check and they don't notify you. You find out when/if you're detained at the airport.

There's an air traffic controller I work with who's n the list. He has a secret security clearance. He's been checked by the FBI. He's cleared to work Air Force One...and yet they won't remove him from the list (he apparently has the same name...but different SSN and physical description...as a "person of interest").
