Yes there are a large number of idiots in this country, but no, I'll wager that most of them aren't buying this book. The vast majority of the sales of these rags are bulk purchases by rightwing groups. Dick Scaife probably bought the first million before the manuscript was finished.

Regnery (Murdoch) publishes it> Fox/NewsMax/NYPost/WATimes/MucdochStreetJournal promotes it>Heritage/AEI/CATO "buys/bulk-orders" it (which sets off a large enough sold number to get it "reviewed" by the NYT, the corporate media "invites" the "author" for on-air promo spots so they can slime their target some more>C-span "invites" "author" on for a 3-hour session with Brian Lamb..

heritage/AEI/CATO GIVES the books away, as do the media outlets..what bookstores cannot sell at 75% off end up in the 99-cent bin at The Dollar Store..

The "author" is hired to write a hit piece, and gets his/her money up-front..no matter how many books are "sold"..
