Obama said HE was a citizen of the world. McCain tried to speak for all Americans; took sides in a precarious conflict (IDIOT).

Obama MET with world leaders. McCain is making promises to Georgia - again, taking sides, wanting to actively 'help' them.

Please tell me you see the difference?

6. Baiting The Refs
This key in Gramps playing "negotiator" and "statesman" with Georgia is his clear conflicts of interests. First, this is an international hot point where he's drawn sides...in the face of another one that we have both diplomatic relations and a vested interest not to aggitate. Gramps made promises to Shikavilli and he's been called on it...imposing himself in this conflct for his own partisan purposes...confusing what is real diplomacy by sending his own codel to the region that, as Will Pitt, states, could be a violation of the Logan act.

Obama met with foreign leaders in accordance with how a standing US Senator generally conducts these trips. He also said he was a citizen of the world, not of one specific country. While freepers like to think they're on their own island, Obama stated the obvious. He made no promises or tried to advocate any meddling with their internal affairs.

Is that enough?

My hopes is this Georgian adventure backfires on Gramps as his meddling appears to have unleashed Shikavilli as a loose cannon that could further embarass both Gramps and the United States in the weeks ahead.

7. Citizens of the world is 'inclusive' and quite true- McCain's statement
was designed to polarize and divide us- Obama's is designed to help us learn to focus on what UNITES us, as occupants of this planet- something that seems pretty difficult for people to embrace- as if it somehow 'diminishes' us- which is narcissistic stupidity.

Obama's 'meeting' with 'world leaders' was a way for him to demonstrate his desire to show the world that he does sincerely want to bridge some of the division that this administration has delighted in creating. He wasn't 'negotiating' about any 'specific issues'.

McCain is acting like he has the power and control of America at his fingertips- he's 'sending delegations' to Georgia? and speaking weekly with the president of Georgia???? all the while playing the outraged "Obama's presumptuous' meme???

I hope you are looking for confirmation of your own feelings of the absurdity of McCains actions, rather than really unable to see the difference, but regardless I wish you-

peace~
