Ga. Men Claim to Have Found Bigfoot

(Newser) – Two Georgia men claim to have found a Bigfoot, and say they'll release evidence tomorrow at a press conference, LiveScience reports.

Whether they'll display the alleged carcass or simply photographs is unknown, but a well-known Bigfoot hoaxer speaking on their behalf said the body will be studied in a secure, undisclosed location—raising doubts about its authenticity.

The men reportedly have DNA evidence of the creature captured in Georgia's northern woods, but LiveScience notes no specimen exists for comparison.

Despite doubts, one Bigfoot researcher writing on Cryptomyndo.com said, "I feel, in all honesty, this, indeed, may be the real deal, and I say this carefully after reviewing information that has been shared privately with me."

Spend some time in Georgia - not in Athens or Atlanta or any kind of metropolitan area, but outside, in the rural territory - and you will be convinced that not only does Bigfoot live there, but his family's been there for several hundred generations. Most of them have found work as small-town police officers.

17. Oh, gee one of my neighbors claimed to find Bigfoot thirty years ago

in the California Sierra Mountains. He had all kinds of evidence, most of which I believe he got from movie company prop and costume department sales to the public. Oh, yes he was on disability for being mentally unstable. If there ever was a Bigfoot, I don't believe it exists today because there really isn't anywhere they can hide anymore without being detected. I've been in every wilderness area of the Western United States. There is nowhere to hide.
