her know that, regardless of what's being said in
the media, WE SUPPORT HER efforts on behalf of health
care and other issues she has spoken out about.

I want to encourage her to pursue a future as an
activist -- at CAP or elsewhere -- and also to let
her know that we love and support her, apart from
John and his political endeavors and foibles.

The saddest part in all this mess, in addition to the pain brought to Elizabeth and the family, is that it will probably be used as an excuse to push poverty and health-care issues off the table. Clinton and Obama made these planks part of their platforms after Edwards dropped out. I hope Obama continues to focus on them going forward.

I agree, let's support Elizabeth in her efforts to keep health care and poverty central issues in our country.

My family and I will never forget how you went out of your way to speak with us at a Wendy's in Raleigh a week before Christmas 2007. You shared your time for us even though you were 'doing some Christmas shopping' for the kids, and just stopped in to get a takeout order. Obviously this must have been a difficult time for you.

Thank you for putting the needs of others first, and making every day count. The world is a better place for having you in it.
