The NYT ranking is based on "pre-sales"...with most of the books being bought by "think tanks" that probably will never see the light of day, but the sales were reported (or look for them as "special offers" at wingnut websites. This was the old trick that Coultergeist used...by pumping up the sales then comes the "justification" for this slimebag to show up on the teevee.

18. Beat me to posting this. This is almost always how the RW get their tripe on

the best seller list. Big donors buy in bulk and give the things away or they sit in a warehouse.

I remember when Rush has his short-lived awful TV show, the set was lined with copies of his book, stacked around in piles, there was a wall made of the same copy. The RW doesn't tend to read the things even if they're given one, but it's a way for the message to get noticed by the corporate media.
