Are we all really just a bunch of Peons?

Some of my thoughts and some links concerning the financial meltdown...

Usury, to be clear about it, is rich people taking advantage of poor people by lending them money on terms that are sure to make them fail - William Greid

Considering this Housing crash,The coming financial storm,And the soaring unemployment due to outsourcing...
and Credit Usury..We are not just screwed by the corrupted Bankruptcy law,

Remember how the exploiter class fuckers ALSO rammed a tort reform through too?

So even if they Do screw you, you can't go bankrupt,to survive, AND you can't sue THEM for screwing you over either.

Amendment XIII, Section 1: "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
But what about "voluntary" Slavery? Coercion dressed up as a "choice"? Coercion in this culture often appears as if it is"voluntary".Peel away what you want to believe and underneath that there is need, desperation, addiction, or attempts at stress relief gone awry,or collapsed dreams..
(Don't even get me started on DynCorp and Private for profit prisons and Prisoner exploitation)

So,what about this so called "choice",to get yourself in debt, and what choice or freedom is there in having to be working to pay off debts to rich people? While living in a pay to exist set-up you are BORN into??? Slavery is the set up we get born into.We are not free.. Could this appearance of willingness really cover up a form of Slavery ? Work, wage/debt slavery? I think so.

Remember the concept of (corpus delecti)? With an absence of a victim, there is no crime? "Voluntary" slavery via debt bondage through credit, has the appearance of not being a crime against humanity because on the surface it appears voluntary.Exploiters engineer consent and manufacture choice.

But getting in debt to pay up front for a sick child's hospital bill is hardly voluntary,Going into debt buying a car to get to work isn't all that voluntary either,There are many instances where debt is NOT voluntary, but made out of need and desperation.

Seems the greedy pig oligarchies found a way to skirt the constitution and still have a form of slavery in the US of A .So much for Bush's ownership society.

The victory of the North over the South in the U.S. Civil War represented the victory of the capitalist system over the slave system. It represented the triumph of the capitalist form of using people as a means of creating wealth. Under a system of outright slavery, the slave is literally the property of the slave owner. Under capitalism, slavery becomes wage -slavery: The exploited class of workers is not owned by the exploiting class of capitalists (the owners of factories, land, etc.), but the workers are in a position where they must sell their ability to work to a capitalist in order to earn a wage. Capitalism needs a mass of workers that is "free," in a two-fold sense: They must be "free" of all means to live (all means of production), except their ability to work; and they must not be bound to a particular owner, a particular site, a particular guild, etc.--they must be "free" to do whatever work is demanded of them, they must be "free" to move from place to place, and "free" to be hired and fired according to the needs of capital! If they cannot enrich a capitalist through working, then the workers cannot work, they cannot earn a wage. But even if they cannot find a capitalist to exploit their labor, even if they are unemployed, they still remain under the domination of the capitalist class and of the process of capitalist accumulation of wealth--the proletarians (the workers) are dependent on the capitalist class and the capitalist system for their very lives, so long as the capitalist system rules. It is this rule, this system of exploitation, that the U.S. Constitution has upheld and enforced, all the more so after outright slavery was abolished through the Civil War.

Ever look at the word Mortgage?
Mort-Death ,Gage-Grip. A Death Grip.A life spent toiling to pay off a debt,until death.
Middle-class and poor families have been sold the idea that home ownership is the ticket to economic security,

Believe it or not, America was more progressive a century ago than it is today, when it comes to debt. Because of loopholes, credit card companies are allowed to charge outrageous amounts of interest. With rent-to-own stores, people end up paying $1,800 for a $400 computer. A class action was recently filed against Dell computers for promising people a low cost computer with low interest and then people end up paying $1300 for a computer worth $500 because of hidden interest charges. Now, Congress has outlawed class action lawsuits as well!

Although the Constitution forbids imprisonment for debt, tens of thousands of people have been put in jail for failing to appear in court or with false theft charges, as with customers of rent-to-own stores who fail to make payments. People can be jailed for failing to make child support payments. The IRS jails people for lying or concealing assets. People can be jailed for telling lies on credit applications. An artist in Illinois didn't receive legal papers when he changed his address. He owed old hospital bills from when he had been attacked and stabbed ten years earlier. Because of interest and late charges, his bill had climbed from $5,000 to $40,000, even though he had paid more than the original bill already.
He was amazed when the police came and arrested him for failing to show up in court. These kinds of incidents are becoming more and more common.

A revealing little anecdote about economists.
Q: How does an economist get out of a hole?
A: First, he assumes a ladder.

Wage labor and Debt bondage it is a set up for mass indentured servitude. It just isn't PUT that way so people won't get offended at this lack of being free is mentioned.
Corporations are nothing but fictions which
have been put into your mind to seem realities.Slavery to corporations happened because people believed in a lie. We would be free,if people learned how to relate to one another and to protect each other from exploiters.Free if the learned helplessness of the peons coerced into giving up their dreams and days,to a fiction to enrich an'owner' were aware of their condition and decided the oligarchies exploiting them had to be stopped.

To bring the people to sell themselves as voluntary slaves, put a Central Government over them to bind them to a debt that could not be paid, enforced with skewed 'contract laws'.The UNITED STATES is a corporation and it was a corporation before the Revolutionary war.
See Respublica v. Sweers 1 Dallas 43. 28 U.S.C. 3002 (15).

Peonage is a system where laborers are bound in servitude until their debts are paid in full. Those bound by such a system are known, in the US, as peons. Or Debt Slaves.

In these circumstances, peonage is a form of un-free labor. Such systems have existed in many places at many times throughout history..

It's just called "capitalism" or"credit debt"today...
We are all peons now...
