5. Cheney kept Bush...
...from being killed by a leftwing nutcase.

I hope Obama will choose a VP which will stop him from being killed by a rightwing nutcase.

19. Yeah, Feingold would definitely cut the KKK threats down.
Those morons are already making noise about "killin a ni**er president", but they wouldn't find a "jew president" any more to their liking.

7. Hillary!!!
She's the only one they hate worse than Obama.

Although my fear is they hate her so much she'll energize the right winger to vote McCain when they would otherwise sit out the election.

11. It won't.
The Republicans are going to vote for McCain, regardless. They'll bitch and moan, but in the end, they will show up and vote for McCain. That's another difference between Republicans and Democrats; Republicans will vote "R" regardless, and they WILL show up to vote. You can't say the same for Democrats. I think it's shown that "non-threatening" VP candidates have gotten us nowhere in the past few cycles, so why pick another "non-threatening" VP pick like Bayh, or Kaine? They also will get us nowhere, provide little to nothing in the election, however, could end up costing us quite a bit if they get butchered during the debates (which I think could be quite likely for these "fresh-faced" types).

21. That's why I think the GOP mascot should be changed from the elephant...
...to the sheep.

Likewise, the Dem mascot should be changed to the cat... as in "trying to herd cats."

23. sheep and pussy cats? Sad state of American politics.
Herding cats is right, but I think that would be read the wrong way. Or perhaps the right way, if you think about what a 'great' job so many of our 'leaders' have been doing to protect the Constitution from the likes of Cheney and Bush.

14. I like Biden but he is not used to working under someone, so he said
he might be a bit too much and Obama may look for a team player instead.

How about some governor or ex-governor of a Southern state? ANYONE but another senator.

15. Unless the platform is changed, you can rule out Webb or Richardson as VP
The current draft of the platform expresses support for a ban on semi-automatics. Not good at all.
