For a brief moment, Obama’s face is framed by letters that the brain may want to play with and spell something that does make sense. If you type “al qD” into Google, you get this response: “Did you mean: al qaeda.”



ABC: A veteran Democratic operative offers an interesting observation of the newly released anti-Obama Web video produced by the McCain campaign. The video is an eight-minute montage of sometimes contradictory statements about the Iraq war made by Sen. Barack Obama.

At the very beginning, the title -- “The Obama Iraq Documentary” -- flashes into place in a blaze of orange. And for a single frame -- a tiny fraction of a second -- Obama’s face is framed by the following prominent letters: “a l q D.”

Ok, why was any text placed there at all? What for? They say outright that a randomizer was used, so that makes it intentional, but why should text be randomized where no text was appropriate?

And second, this spokesman seems to be pre-briefed on this. That in itself is a little too slick by half. "Adding that" gives the impression that the question was not pre-submitted for Rogers to go get an answer.

And third, that orange shape is peculiar, and unnecessary - it reminds me of a missile.

And fourth, what's that white shape by O's right shoulder? It looks like a nuke.

The article says that McCain's adteam is Foxhole Productions - I wonder if that's in any way related to Fox?
