Argument Against Edwards=RW's Argument to Impeach Clinton
Anyone here remember the mid-90's? Kenneth Starr? $60+ million investigation?

Remember the Right Wing's argument? "It's not the sex, it's the lying!"

Unbefuckinglievable, that this insane argument is being used against Edwards--ON A DEMOCRATIC FORUM!

Y'know what the Right Wing, the Republicans have that we on the Left don't? LOYALTY.

It's because of the lack of LOYALTY that Dems (and Dem causes) get crushed all the time. We're weak, because we absolutely refuse to stand together, for some bizarre reason that I'm not sure I'll ever figure out.

I believe in John Edwards, and I believe he belongs at the Democratic Convention.

Freepers are no doubt lurking at this site and laughing their asses off right now.

I'm terribly disappointed in the behavior of people on this site. I expected to come here and see SUPPORT for the Edwards Family, not this garbage about "betraying everyone on Earth".

Insanity.

2. I agree with you
I wasnt an Edwards supporter, but of the three top candidates his message was the most important, and I would hate to think he never bothered running and his message was never put into the public debate.

5. And look where that "blind" loyalty has gotten the Repukes
Edited on Sat Aug-09-08 11:52 PM by piesRsquare
Loyalty is not always blind!

But the loyalty that Republicans have sure as hell got them what they wanted: Two wars, deregulation, massive corporate power, and on and on. They got all that because they STUCK TOGETHER!

If the LEFT stuck together the way the Republicans do, we could actually get something done--or at least stop the Right Wing in their tracks!

Being loyal does not mean one is a lemming. Elizabeth stayed with John--you gonna call HER a lemming?

There's a difference between "thinking critically" and "neurosis".

6. Hitler rose to power because his party "Stuck Together." Liberals don't need to emulate that.
Covering for one of our own who has demonstrated that he cared more about himself than the party is not "sticking together," but abetting a sociopath.

4. The Edwards family is fine. It's just him with the problem.

7. I am disappointed in John, and think he needs to regain our trust. HOWEVER...
Edited on Sun Aug-10-08 12:02 AM by Kerry2008
I still believe in him as an effective politician, I still believe in the causes he pushes, and I'm still proud I supported him for President in 2008.

Lastly, I haven't abandoned the fact I consider myself an Edwards Democrat.

I just won't be using that term--for now.
