Was Reagan the best groomed president?
Reagan was a hollyweird actor and was very concerned about his image and looks. Even after being shot, he buttoned his jacket and walked in to the hospital, knowing that he needed to project a strong image to calm the american public, despite being seriously wounded.

Nobody questioned Reagan's sexual preference.

I personally think image is important for a candidate, some would say its the most important.

I would also say having combed hair is good for tv and photos. But if Rudy is the Nominee, what do I know.

George Washington wore wigs, I wonder what he looked like for real.

1. I know a lot of voters went to Kennedy in 1960s because of how
telegenic and attractive he appeared compared to Nixon with his excessive sweating and 5:00 shadow during the televised debates.

16. Its comical how conservatives love Reagan
and we love JFK, yet looks has nothing to do with that, absolutely not.

Annie Coulture is by no means superficial at all, with the dyed blonde hair and short mini-skirts. Talkkk about a hypocrite. she can sucks it.

5. Indeed. I saw JFK from less than 2' away and he was impeccable.

Perfect haircut, perfect shave, perfectly tailored suit, manicured ... he was without peer, imho. As a cadet at the USCGA, I was well-indoctrinated in 'squared away' clothing and grooming (hypersensitive) and the foremost impression I had of JFK was that he was flawlessly groomed.

The Presidency was just another film role for him.
It was all about appearances. Stand on the mark, say your lines.

Remember those vacations of his when he would go to his ranch in Southern California and chop wood or whatever? Even those were carefully staged.

Once an actor, always an actor, I guess.

8. I remember reading that one of his aides said that as a trained
Hollywood actor, Reagan always knew how he looked from behind as well as in front. Actors make it their business to know that!

10. Nah, Reagan wasn't a best anything.
Once Grover Norquist masturbates himself into an early grave, Reagan's star is going to fade back to where he belongs, as the Eisenhower of the '80s.

JFK was a far better dresser, a better Cold Warrior, a better everything.

Taft was a pretty sharp dresser; like a lot of fat dudes, he made up for a bad body with good clothes.

Worst dressers: Carter, Truman, Lincoln.

11. Washington was very fastideous about his clothes and appearance.
Coulter would no doubt have called him a "fag" too. He was a very dapper man.

I don't think we've ever had a real slob of a president, altho Lincoln and Jefferson both would show up for meetings a bit disheveled at times because they were too busy thinking to gussy up.

15. Washington did not wear wigs
He did powder his hair on social occasions. He had red hair, and mostly he wore it in a pony tail. He wasn't vain about his clothing, but he did like his horses to look good. He had their hooves blacked every day, and he rode a silver mounted saddle and sometimes used a leopard skin saddle cloth.
