Morally repugnant...
Not just because he cheated on his wife and lied about it...

But add to that she was fighting breast cancer at the time. It may be none of my business, but I still find it to be a disgusting thing to do to a spouse.

I'm glad I didn't waste my vote on him.

1. You make good points, but I am willing to let this play out.
Given a bad situation (of his own making), Edwards might find a way to salvage something.

As for me, if his wife and family can forgive him, I don't have a problem.

5. I don't fault any woman that decides to stay...
and make the relationship work.

There may have been other factors at work we're not aware of, but it doesn't lesson the disappointment and anger I feel toward him.

2. You're right. It is none of your business.

And I'm sure you and others have the moral authority to judge him. Not.

3. Let's see...have I ever cheated on my husband who is fighting cancer...
um...no.

I have a right to pass judgment on whoever I want. We all do. I'm not going to stick my nose in their marriage and tell them what I think, but I can determine my own opinions of Edwards based on his actions.

6. Unfortumately, he was runnning for president so that makes it our business.
Otherwise I would not give a royal damn. But he has put our party in jeopardy so that makes it our business. There is more than morality at stake here!!!

4. Personally I don't care who sleeps with who.
It's none of my g-d damned business. My own distress is over his wasting his potential and potentially the good he could do for his country! I believed in him and for that reason, and for that reason alone, I feel betrayed!
