5. yes, many people thought the same thing.. Wow, they look really bored.
And those are people not very political minded. I particurlarly like when Putin leaned over and said well, we're at war now. ha ha. and the NBC people thought they were discussing something impertinent... I forget what they had said, something about the show or some other thing.

8. one guy looked asleep
Don't know who it was - a few seats from Sarkozy - but he was definitely nodding off.

My beef with Bush is that he sits with his legs sprawled way apart, like a child.

9. The obnoxious moron was ...
... sitting slouched in his chair, legs splayed apart looking like he'd rather be anywhere than there.

He looked bored and so did Laura. Was checking his watch, and was whacking his leg with the American flag.

He's an enormous embarassment to this country.

11. Did anyone else also happen to notice what pissed me off?
* had his suit jacket off for most of the countries presentations, but when the USA's teams came up for the parade, he suddenly had the jacket back on and was standing up to applaud... Gee, guess formal address is only reserved for US Olympians...

I know I'm being petty, but I called it early on. About 1/3rd way through the parade of nations, I told my H, after seeing yet another cut-away to the bored and disinterested looking Bush, that I'd bet anything that his jacket would suddenly be back on just as the US athletes appeared. Hmm, I was right... H didn't bother to take the bet, BTW.
