John Edwards Impeachment Statement on Bill Clinton:
"“I think this President has shown a remarkable disrespect for his office, for the moral dimensions of leadership, for his friends, for his wife, for his precious daughter. It is breathtaking to me the level to which that disrespect has risen."

We have every right to be disappointed and hurt by the deception of a man who has long professed to be of a different character.

That's not "judgmentalism." That's not "indignation" or "moral superiority." We were told one thing by a candidate that many of us supported for both his vision and character, and we were deceived.

I'm very sad for John and Elizabeth - not angry, sad. And I'm very sad myself. I don't need lectures from others about how I shouldn't care at all, or its none of my business, or I'm being judgmental for being sad about it.

1. Wow. Holier than thou, wasn't he. Where'd you find that quote?
Wow, I'm actually surprised - he sounds extremely judgemental.

2. Ironic, ain't it?
You could change one or two words and apply it to Edwards himself.

11. He was talking about having sex in the Oval Office.
That is pretty disrespectful.

12. That's some awfully gymnastic parsing.
Some how adding "now, if he had done this in some other location, I would have been totally fine with it" just doesn't seem to fit the quote.

13. Not at all. It's just common sense.

I don't behave the same way in my livingroom as I do at work.

And the Edwards private lives could only be of interest in prudish, authoritarian America.

6. Not Sunday, not The Day Of Rest, but one day a week...
for 52 weeks out of the year, every year till the sun implodes or a asteroid obliterates the earth; politicians should be *mandated* to shut the hell up and say no words whatsoever: NONE!

15. Everyone is judgemental. Everything you do and believe in
life is based on your judgements. Or you are an idiot.
