As some have said here on DU, turn the Edwards story into a large grenade into the middle of the McCain campaign.

When asked about John Edwards and his admitting to an affair, simply say that "these things happen...I mean look how McCain was having an affair while his first wife was sick and got a marriage license before he divorced his first wife and married a beer heiress..."

That Bruce Whatshisface was on Hardball earlier going on about how people shouldn't engage in the "politics of personal destruction" when asked for a reaction--that this was a personal matter.
