Why is Edward's problem news, when Bush has done all of these things to the country?
Why is it getting any attention, with the problems we are facing and need to solve?

Does anyone remember that Bush is a real problem that we must solve? Can we keep the attention on what must be done?

5. Because we, as voters, fell in love with him,
the way voters fall in love with a politician they see as different. Inspirational and full of integrity. We're so cynical that politicians do NOT have these qualities, that it's like Christmas when we find one who is, or seems to be.

Not to mention, the Edwards' marriage stood out as something special. They had survived so much, and came back stronger every time. JRE himself used his son's death to emerge even stronger than before, as a Senator.

I'd personally used their marriage as a model for love in my own life. What really got me was that he knew Elizabeth was "the one" because she was smart. Constantly, we women the message that smart women don't get the cute, rich guys, and Elizabeth was-- is-- living rebuttal of that.

11. Well, let's see...
A candidate for the highest office has an affair and lies about it repeatedly, not only ruining his own career and humiliating his family, but dredging-up the old Clinton nightmare all over again. Gee, how could that be news?

Apparenly it comes as news to most on this board, but sexual betrayal is still considered pretty rotten behavior by most normal people. If it weren't, he wouldn't have needed to lie about it. To me, the bigger story is his betrayal of his party and the causes he is supposedly so concerned about.

The media's lack of reporting about the endless Bush scandals is a seperate issue entirely.
