JE's infidelity is not my business. BUT in so much as this affair may
damage the Democratic Party...yeah, that's my business. He isn't an idiot. He knows how the majority of Americans feel about infidelity. He wasn't living in a cave while the GOP went after Clinton. It's my business if he has negated any good he could do for this party and has actually become a liability.

Is the affair itself my business? NO. But the consequences are.

This was a phenomenally stupid and selfish thing to do.

1. Where is the news...
About McCain's infidelity? In truth, it was as bad, if not worse. Why are we so enamoured of "this new bright, shiny thing" while there has been no examination of McCain in the MSM?

I sense a ratfuck of epic proportions.

8. It may open the door for that, since this seems to be the M.O. of the media right now
It's sensational to them and John Q. Public will eat this shit up. The GOP will seize on the lies and will have plenty to say in their echo chamber.

This may come back to bite them (the GOP) in the ass. This will cause plenty of ratings to skyrocket - remember, there's the issue of her being paid to live in another state still out there as well as the paternity of the child that they'll be salivating over. But they'll be itching to take out someone even larger with the infidelity cannon. It's time to capitalize and get some solid information about McCain out there at the height of this Edwards fiasco.

12. I am kind of hypocritically hoping that this backfires on McCain by
highlighting infidelity. And this new bright shiny thing is only a few hours old. It may not turn out to be as big a deal as we all think it will. (fingers crossed)

3. ..."while the GOP went after Clinton"??????
"I think this President has shown a remarkable disrespect for his office, for the moral dimensions of leadership, for his friends, for his wife, for his precious daughter. It is breathtaking to me the level to which that disrespect has risen."

Who said that about Clinton?

(hint...it wasn't the GOP)

5. I'll take John Edwards for $1,000, Alex
Unbelievable. He could have done so much for us and our country, but that's all been wasted.

6. ICAM more. We Democrats can't have it both ways. We can't trash McCain for cheating on his first
wife without trashing Edwards for doing the exact same thing.

7. almost as stupid as the democrats who voted "aye" on the Iraq war resolution
even after hearing some of their fellow dems who were in the know vote "no".

Afraid to be seen as unpatriotic by the worst douche bags to ever lie in the wh the democrats chose war over the correct thing to do. Now that is my business.

9. Give it a rest! John is not a public figure now that
he is no longer running for office, nor does he hold any public office, nor is he a candidate for one. His life is private now and what he does is between him and his wife. Don't we have more important things to be concerned about?
1. Ron Suskind's revelations.
2. The story that 2 ships are headed for the Gulf.
3. The economy tanking.
4. High gas/heating oil prices.
5. The price of food.
6. An election to win.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. John Edwards problems aren't even important enough to the country to make the list.

15. Uhhh....NO, we don't have more important things to worry about.
Because THIS is the thing the right is doing to beat the shit out of us with for the next two weeks. So for now, THIS is the most important thing. Do I think that sucks?? HELL YES. And it's ANOTHER reason that John Edwards made his private life my business.

10. the consequences of GOP war crimes are "off the table"
so as not to offend the (allegedly) mushy middle swing voters, but the private lives of those who are not even seeking office can damage the Democratic party beyond repair??? :wtf:

I want some of what the OP is smoking. :eyes:

17. I really admire you. I mean, here you are on a written medium with no reading comprehension.
You are so brave.

Where, exactly, did I say that Edward's affair had damaged the Dem party 'beyond repair'??

Gee, I thought it was the GOP that twisted people's comments to suit their position.
