What John Edwards expects us to believe

Elizabeth Edwards found out about the afair back in 2006.

This woman had an affair with another married man (who happened to be a longtime Edwards aid) who fathered the child.

Two years later, behind his wife's back, he visits this woman who he is no longer having an affair with and the child child who is not his.

I'm slightly skeptical.

And if he was, what was he doing there if the affair was over in 2006?

And did the fact that the baby was born on 2/27 was a factor on his sudden leave of the campaign on 1/30?

He knew that she was pregnant long before that. He pulled out because he failed to finish better than third in any of the primaries or caucuses.
