Galloglas: The female GOP county elec official in MO was on with Hartmann (2nd hour)
Edited on Fri Aug-08-08 01:43 PM by Bozita
She said you didn't go to vote; you were there to create a disturbance. She mentioned you screaming. And jumping up and down. Banging on tables.

You intimidated the shit out of everybody there. They were fearful of you.

I could smell the bullshit coming from my speakers.

You need to catch the replay. Last half of the 2nd hour.

3. Probably at the election office
There are only poll workers at polling places in MO.

11. Yes, it was Charlene, not sure of her last name.
She was not an eyewitness to the event but obviously wanted to paint Galloglas in the most unflattering light possible. At one point she claimed he was "stomping" on the table at the polling place. Stomping involves feet does it not? I find it highly unbelievable that Galloglas had climbed up on a table and was "stomping".

When Hartmann asked if Galloglas had the required ID to vote, she said "no". Hartmann asked for clarification and she said that he didn't meet the requirements because he wasn't there to vote but rather to create a disturbance.

My impression was that Charlene was being dishonest. Here's why. If you have the truth on your side, you don't need to embellish the story to the point that it is laughable, i.e., "stomping" on the table. Her attempt to say that he didn't have the right to vote because he wasn't there to vote also really rubbed me the wrong way.

I hope Galloglas has a good attorney to attend his hearing for the charges filed against him. They should only be a misdemeanor, but I think he is up against some very nasty people who are out to do him as much damage as possible.

13. Charlene Davis
Galloglas already talked to her after the primaries in Feb and again a few weeks ago. So she knows him. And more importantly, she knows there was a problem at that polling place and she didn't fix it.

No he didn't stomp. He "slapped" his voter ID card on the table and somehow that has morphed into screaming and stomping and scaring those poor poll workers.

I know galloglas was going to talk to the ACLU. So hopefully he has a good attorney. I am going to call him later today and I will ask and post an update if he is too busy.

15. He dropped a quick note last night to me before he went to bed in a thread in ER
Edited on Fri Aug-08-08 02:41 PM by btmlndfrmr
I'm tossing this one out before crawling off to bed for an ever-so-long sleep! If old chest bump Roy is a day over seventy, I'll eat his hat. I would put his age at 65, tops. Possibly younger.

The question that hasn't been asked, as a basis for comparison, by some folks like "Kire", is this. "How old is galloglas"?? And, for the record, galloglas turns 63 on 8-15!

So, if "chest bump Roy" is older than I, it is by but a few scant months, I think.

And, regarding Charlene, your guess is dead on the money. I will have an update tomorrow which illustrates Charlene's truth-challenged state of being.

24. Then she wasn't there. She refused to come down to the polling place with him.
She wasn't there and has no basis for her opinion about his behavior.

Mine is small enough to be hidden. Election cheaters in authority are breaking the law. I think we are going to have to break some laws to get justice as well.

18. Wow !! Tons of thanks for this!!
Thanks for the heads up! Mys son saw this and came in to wake me up. Well worth it.

I will catch that as soon as this clackety old computer downloads it.

Haven't even read the posts below, but if Charlene is saying things like that the situation is truly weird. I had just gotten a call from the SoS's office yesterday (about a computer malfunction I'd found on their site) and Jason, the guy makingthe cal, told me the Eastern Jak Board of Elections yesterday and that Charlene had given total assurances that similar occurrences would never happen again.

I am beginning to wonder if this is more sinister than I imagined. Someone on another thread last night asked if this could be because I was non-white. Not wanting to open a new can of worms, I PM'ed them and told them "No, I am white".

But I noted, however, that another factor might have to be considered. Last year I formed a small non-profit 501(c) for the express intention of floating a Missouri State Constitutional Initiative Referendum to return Missouri to a status of Hand Counted Paper ballots and, indeed, the Petition itself was approved on 8-27-2007.

For a lot of reasons (time, money, etc.) we did not garner the roughly 180,000 signatures we needed to get it on this November's ballot. However, I have spoken to Charlene Davis any number of times about this issue in the past couple of years and she said it would be a disaster for them if they had to hand count!

I better read the last of the posts here and then hurry on up to an interview I have scheduled with the Independence Examiner (our local paper) at 4:30 PM.

I will check in when I get back.

Thanks again,

galloglas

21. I think so!
I am willing to let the Truth stand on its own these and lies by Charlene Davis will so become apparent for what they are.

I really think people can separate flyspecks from pepper if they are given the information to make the decisions.

26. New Post from Galloglas at PrimeBuzz
I just filed an new post at the Blog at the KCStar. Check it out.

http://primebuzz.kcstar.com/?q=node/13608

Also, my dear DU friends, I just finished a major interview with our local paper, The Independence Examiner. Toriano Roberts will be the writer. It will print tomorrow or Monday (probably tomorrow).

There was another feature article today, by Rhiannon Ross, but I have not yet located the location. Will advise when I do. Or does anyone else know where it is????

The Examiner can be found online.

Woot! Woot!

I'll stay busy until I fall asleep at the keyboard. And, om KCs KKFI, I will have another interview tomorrow.

I expect I need a private attorney as well as the ACLU attorneys we hope to have. I had not yet revealed that my son had been manhandled by one of the judges, only that silly "chest bump"!!

What are the going damages for willful assault and battery, misuse of office under the color of authority and slander, libel and perjury, and.... God knows what else!!!@

I think am going to play back that Hartmann interview with Charlene Davis again, sit back and grin (you understand that one, btmlndfrmr, I reckon).

So if anyone has a seismograph around, notes sound wave evidence of a Tsunami, but no Earth tremors, it will be me indulging in a bit of well-earned mania!!! or, possible, my stereo!! (it's actually an old Victrola, but a large settlement from these seven peoples personal liability policies (yes, that avoids soaking the taxpayer) should allow me to upgrade to an MP3 player.

Oh, Happy Day!!!

27. This may also be of interest ... a law firm that often works along with the ACLU
... a national biglaw firm with awards for its pro bono work. And a track record in voting rights.

It's worth a look ...
