I'm curious - 2 questions for someone here who's familiar with Chinese culture.

1. I assume that's Hu Jintao. Is Hu the surname, or is it Jintao? I think it's Hu.

2. Different cultures have different implicit "rules" for the limits of one's personal space when engaging in conversation etc. Anyone know what that "rule" is in Chinese society?
