"Real Men Don't Think"
Paul Krugman's column in this morning's NY Times is about how the GOP has become totally dependent on the ignorance of American voters. And he has a great line in it: "... Real men don't think thing's through."

I think he's hit on the perfect bumper sticker for Obama and all other Democratic candidates this year.

REAL MEN DON'T THINK
Vote Republican '08

Perhaps a bumper sticker like this will get through to all the no nothings who still cling to Bush and the rot that is the Republican Party.

(I can't link to the column as you have to log into the NY Times, but it will probably be posted later today on Buzzflash.com)

3. I subscribe to that belief, have for a long time
Republicons find it too easy to let someone else decide what they support. They don't think for themselves.

PAUL KRUGMAN
Know-Nothing Politics

Know-nothingism — the insistence that there are simple answers to every problem — has become the core of Republican policy.

5. Real men don't shrink...
they go when the country calls. Like John Kerry and Al Gore did during the war in Viet Nam.

Real men don't go AWOL, or get 5 deferments, or whine because the have a little sore on their lazy fat ass. The ARMY needs a few REAL men in Iraq Sean...

DRAFT JOHN BOLTON! He wants to invade Iran so let him do it...today...

7. "Vote Republican. It's easier than thinking."

Real bumper sticker seen in Knoxville, TN.

I do like Krugman's "Real Men Don't Think" and immediately thought it should be a sticker too.

Thanks for the heads up on Krugman's article.

Pssst, shouldn't that be the "know-nothings"?

10. Like the bogus "fiscal responsibility," the meme that rightwingers are "real men" is way off
Show me a guy who doesn't know how to form a fist, and I'll show you a guy who votes straight Republican. Show me a guy who can't dribble a basketball, and I'll show you a Republican. Show me a guy who is afraid of getting his hands dirty, and I'll show you an RNC Republican.

These guys are divas in suits. They are nowhere to be found when any kind of real fighting goes down, either street or military. The one thing most devoted Republican men share is a gigantic yellow streak down the middle of their back. Cheney. Bush. Roger Ailes. Pat Buchanan. These guys couldn't beat a nine year old girl arm wrestling.
