Any Word On Andrew McCain Lately?
I know it's a very busy time...so many scandals, so little time, but here's one that maybe some didn't see or someone may have an update:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mark-nickolas/still-no-answer-why-mccai_b_116237.html

Recall that a week ago, John McCain's (R) son -- Andrew K. McCain -- suddenly resigned as a member of the board of directors and audit committee of Silver State Bancorp (and its subsidiary Silver State Bank) citing "personal reasons." From various published accounts, the bank is on exceptionally shaky financial footing and some believe it is only a matter of time before the FDIC steps in and takes over the bank.

However, six days after McCain suddenly quit, there's still a great deal of mystery about his departure as no one is talking, according to today's Arizona Republic:

One of U.S. Sen. John McCain's sons has resigned from the board of a Nevada-based bank that operates four branches in Arizona, just five months after he was appointed director.

Andrew McCain quit as a director of Silver State Bancorp, where he served on the audit committee.

...A Silver State spokesman declined to comment on the resignation. McCain didn't return phone calls.

So...any word from the papers in Phoenix or Vegas?

2. When news like this about a Dem is released, the Reps
seem to be able to whip it into a frenzy and get lots of coverage.

Don't we have any friends in the press? Obama can't address it, but WE sure can!

4. The Reason I'm Hoping To Get A Little Action Here
We get hit with so much crap these days, a lot is dropping through the cracks.

This isn't something Obama needs to address...that's what surrogate and the blogs are about. It's stuff people can call into local talk shows or send in LTTEs...start the fire from underneath until Gramps feels it and has to start dancing.

Cheers...

scroll to the bottom of the page...

The NASD complaint gives only his initials, J.E., and an address that turns out to be a Las Vegas post office box that the company had used. A search of records turned up the fact that a John Edwards had used the address, but did not uncover a way to reach him.

When a Securities and Exchange Commission administrative law judge held a hearing on CMKM last year, an auditor who was hired to audit the company’s books, but quit after few records were provided, testified that he was recommended for the post by a friend of his named John Edwards, who sat in on the meeting where he was retained.

"As one of them (shareholders) so gently put it:
“Mr Norris…What possibly could be the reason you wrote about a worthless little pennystock…CMKM Diamonds..and placed it on the first page of the NY Times business section. Could it possibly be that the company has just about implicated every major brokerage firms in the country in the systematic rape of the American people due to the insidious practice of NAKED SHORT SELLING…COUNTERFEITING….Your boss’s on Wall Street will have to do some heavy.spin on this one Floyd…”

7. Holy Silverado
I get a feeling there was a lot of speculating going on here...tied to junk bonding and "creative" financing. A bank's stock doesn't plummet so fast without a major exit of not just capital but "bodies" as well...just like Silverado, Lincoln Savings, Enron and so on.

Considering how many people this can and will affect, not even the local papers seem to be giving this much play. And, dare I ask where is the SEC? Nah, that's asking waaaaaay to much.

8. Heaven forbid it should tarnish MCCaint's campaign.
I don't think an explanation of Andrew's sudden departure is necessary. ;0
