Tropical Storm Edouard update:
the weatherman on ABC, Sam Champion, was keeping me informed. He's raring to go on the coast of Galveston, adorned with wetsuit.
The thing is, the moon is out, the stars are shining, and he just looked silly. Not even a breeze at the moment, and I know that's going to change.

It's gonna be a blow, rain, etc., but no one's evacuating, so it's no big deal (at the moment;)).

1. I appreciate this update on the storm.
I was pretty near where that guy was when Hurricane Bonnie blew through back in the 80s.

Not the life-threatening hurricane that Katrina and Andrew were, but PLENTY of wind and rain just the same.

3. Very still outside.
And hot, but that's the norm. I'm waiting, but I suspect I'll sleep through the start.
It's going to be a big fat honkin' storm! I'm hunkering when I have to...

11. What's your problem?
High winds, heavy rain, but this is no Katrina. Get a grip.

12. Yes. In the scheme of things, it's not bad here. A 'significant'
rain event-perfect! That's what we needed. Now for the street flooding in Bayou City.

8. Hey there, 'sister!
Please send some of that rain over here to the Austin/San Antone area. We are parched, and the grass is crispy!
Stay safe, y'all.

14. Hope the power stays on....that's the worst part about storms like this.
Another day or two over the water, and it could have been worse.
