BREAKING: News on tv just reported actor Morgan Freeman
Edited on Mon Aug-04-08 10:37 AM by kestrel91316
has been airlifted from a set because of some accident.

Don't have anything more yet.

Edit: Serious car accident in a small town in Mississippi where he lives, not a set. Supposedly he is conscious and talking.

TMZ has learned that Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman, 71, has been injured in a serious car accident in Mississippi.

Cops tell us the "Dark Knight" star was in a one car accident around 11:30 PM last night north of the small town of Ruleville. He was airlifted from the accident scene to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn. We're told alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the wreck, news of which was first reported by MediaTakeout.

Freeman's condition is unknown, but state troopers tell us he was talking at the scene before he was taken to the hospital. The condition of an unidentified female passenger in the car also is unknown.

Story developing ...

Just watched him and Nicholson in "The Bucket List" the other night. They were great together. He's a fine actor and wonderful human being.

6. He's one of the best character actors Hollywood has ever produced
and I hope his injuries heal quickly.

If I see he's in a flick, I'll rent it just for his performance.

19. Ditto. Any movie he's in is better because of it.
He has never disappointed me. He's a fine actor and - judging from his interview on Actors Studio - a fascinating human being.

8. One car accident, unidentified female passenger in car.
Academy Award-winner Morgan Freeman has been injured in a serious car accident.

The "Dark Knight" actor was airlifted from the scene after his car crashed in Ruleville, Miss., late Sunday night, TMZ.com reports. Freeman has a home in nearby Charleston, Miss.

The actor was taken to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn., more than 100 miles away from the scene.

Alcohol is reportedly not suspected as a factor in the one-car crash.

The 71-year-old actor's condition is currently unknown, but, according to police, Freeman was talking at the scene before he was taken to the hospital.

There was a female passenger in the actor's car, whose identity and condition is unknown.

21. A good friend of mine
tells me Morgan Freeman is an easy going person. he got to meet him while they were shooting Shawshank Redemption. My friend said he wasn't like the other actors, Mr Freeman would go out and mingle with the extras and crew, he would come over and make small talk with him some times. My friend is a guard at the prison that is built behind the closed prison where this movie was filmed. This is all state property and my friend had to make sure nobody would stray out of the area.

24. I recently saw Bucket List
It wasn't quite as funny as I thought it would be, but I definitely enjoyed it. Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson played off each other well.

For those of you who haven't heard of it, it was Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman as 2 guys who were roommates in the hospital and they both have cancer. They start working on a list of things they want to do before they kick the bucket. They call it the bucket list.
